What are the general requirements for a potential Bojangles' Franchisee?

Bojangles is actively seeking highly qualified individuals to become Franchisees. Previous restaurant experience is preferred and recommended but is not mandatory. We will take into consideration prior business experience, financial qualifications, motivation and a track record of personal success as important factors in our evaluation process. Because we want our Franchisees to succeed, we offer and require all Franchisees to complete a comprehensive training program.

How much training is required?

Bojangles' proven training program has been key in helping us become one of the premier quick service chicken franchises. Because we are absolutely fanatical about our food and the people who love our food, we require that a minimum of five of your operating managers successfully complete six weeks of training prior to opening your first two restaurants.

What are the financial requirements for a Bojangles' Franchisee?

Prospective Franchisees will need a collective net worth greater than $1,000,000, liquid assets greater than $500,000 and a satisfactory credit rating.

What markets are available for new restaurants?

Currently, there are considerable market opportunities in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic,Northeast and Midwest regions of the country. We will also entertain inquiries from other parts of the country as well as various international locations.

Can I open more than one location?

Bojangles' is actively seeking both single unit operators as well as perspective Franchisees with the experience and financial resources to be a multi-unit operator.

Are there different types of Bojangles' stores?

Presently Bojangles' has developed two approved building plans for a franchisee to choose from for freestanding "traditional" restaurants. Bojangles' does possess some flexibility to work with you to develop a custom design to fit "non-traditional" or "express" venues. All such plans must receive final approval from Bojangles' prior to beginning construction.

What are the fees?

The franchise fee is $25,000 for each restaurant. Royalty fees are 4% of sales in the domestic United States. Marketing Development Fund fees are 1% of sales.

Do you offer site selection services?

Bojangles' offers consultation and assistance with site selection. You will need to retain the services of a local real estate professional to help identify quality sites, at which point we will assist you in choosing the site(s) we would recommend.

Does Bojangles' offer financing?

At this time, Bojangles' does not offer financing for Franchisees. You must have the financial capacity to develop a Bojangles' restaurant. However, we do maintain relationships with third party lenders and developers to whom we can direct you.
